Esther Scott was born in Cuba; however, she has been in the United States for most of her life. She worked in corporate America for many years, but her love for art would eventually win over. In 1980 she opened her own art gallery "Studio Encanto," The Must See Gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida. There she exhibits her art as well as the art of local and international artists.
Some of the artists are:
Patricia Chute
who works in a variety of media including watercolor, acrylic and ceramics.
Yvette Galliher
she enjoys working with bold colors and shapes; she finds people as well as flowers and vegetables to be perfect topics for this concept.
Alejandra Goldberg
enrolled in several, privately-taught, drawing courses, with different Art Professionals, who helped her build a strong and rich foundation on diversified techniques and pictorial currents.
Rita Gould, acrylics are the artist's medium of choice because pigment can be applied thickly using a brush or palette knife for texture, or watered down for a more translucent effect. However, the artist is now rediscovering the advantages of oils—texture, stability of color, and blending qualities.
Edin Gutierrez, in some of his paintings, the relief of solid textures magnifies colors and the artist seeks to capture the intact city of Havana. At the same time, he eludes to the senses, tempting the viewer to touch the walls, the secular doors, or the vestibules of aristocratic houses that still keep their secrets. Another topics in Edin's work are that of Spirituality, Cigar Nostalgia, and a deep Concern for the Environment.
David Harrison, "For me, sculpting in stone is more tactile than visual. When I begin a new piece, I can feel the shape inside the stone. The piece is not finished until I feel the shape I originally had in mind."
Ron Reams, as a colorist, works in the exceptional range of image fabrication and discovery techniques. His works introduce color by focusing on sensual harmony and balance while embracing contrast. Since Ron sees blocks of space with color and images, he starts each painting on a 15-foot panel that is painted in segments that are separated into 60 squares which are treated as individual studies. Each square, in this initial painting stage, is further enhanced by Ron's unique technique of rotating the square while developing the painting's color, space, contrast, and balance. Ron believes his rotation technique allows him to stretch the boundaries of the canvas and his perception of the statement of the painting's mission. Ron expects his work to have visual powers and emotional qualities necessary for the work to stand independently.
Brian Reso specializes in creating visual images of extraordinary depth and color. He was born and educated in South Africa, then studied at the Hornsey School of Art in London. He moved to Southern California where he studied the techniques of the Old Masters while developing his own distinctive style.
His works are highly sought after and hang international, in private collections in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Aspen, Tampa, St. Petersburg, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, South Africa, England and Australia.
Lisa Russo is a contemporary artist who was trained in the traditional style.
After winning awards in local art shows, Lisa began to study under a traditional oil painter named Jack Jackson. Following his passing she continued to paint masterpiece replications with the group that worked under Jack. Recently Lisa has given birth to her son, who gives much inspiration to her work. Her interest in bodybuilding assists in her studies of the nude. Often you can catch her painting with her faithful dog under her easel. She continues to feed her passion of paint daily and looks for new inspiration in everything that she does.
Hani Sidler paintings cover a broad range of ideas - from abstracts to naturalistic images. Themes and motives are highly diverse and her goal is to paint 'pictures of beauty' which the observer will find pleasurable and rewarding.
Clayton Swartz, magnificent saturated translucent colors, captivating formal abstractions, metal collages of whimsical shape and form, can only begin to describe my body of sculpture. My works are created from raw metal cut, welded, molded, heated, bent, and coaxed into abstracted forms ranging from the sea and its creatures, to urban cityscapes. The work comes to life with vibrant color, slick flowing lines, textures, biomorphic shapes, rhythms, and patterns in combination with abstracted subject matter to bring you forms that erupt with vitality and excitement.
Mark Tuttle and Karen Tuttle
Using 14kt gold and anti-tarnish silver sculpture wire, we create One-of-a-kind pieces of “Wearable Art.” Our works are created with the guarantee that each individual piece will be noticed and admired.
Violetta In 1981 Violetta continued her education at Repin College Of Art. There she studied oil and watercolor painting, graphic art, sculpturing, crafts, history of art, pedagogy.
Ernestas Zvaigzdinas Subjects favored by Ernestas are the seaside, ships, and the harbor scenes in his native land and throughout Europe. His medium is oil; colors are those of nature on bright, clear days when the sun highlights his world
